Participants of the weekend workshop will be led into the amazing world of wet-plate (also known as ambrotype) photography. American photographer David Puntel, a specialist in historical photographic techniques, will illustrate the wet-plate collodion process in his 'Central Valley Project' studio located in Berlin-Treptow.
Participants will receive a step-by-step instruction of the wet-plate technique, working with a variety of cameras, different formats (4x5"/5x7"/8x10") as well as vintage lenses.
This intensive course is also suitable for novices with no prior photographic knowledge, and is limited to four participants. Refreshments as well as all materials required for the production of around 10 wet-plate photographs are included.
