LUMIX // what counts

November 1, 2016

The Lower Saxony State Chancellery in Berlin is presenting the prize-winning works of the fifth Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism. The showcase continues until 9 November 2016.
From 25 October to 9 November 2016, the prize-winning works of the fifth Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism will be presented at the Lower Saxony State Chancellery (address: In den Ministergärten 10) as part of the European Month of Photography in Berlin.

The Freelens Award regularly draws the submissions of more than 1200 photo reportages by student and professional photographers under the age of 35. Along with the Lammerhuber Photography Award, the Freelens Award is given out every two years as part of the Lumix Festival. For the first time, the winning works are subsequently exhibited in Berlin – presenting a remarkable cross-section of life in its many facets: from poetic images and peculiar scenes to current affairs, the selected photographers give a clear illustration of what really counts.

The featured photographers are Johan Bävman, Massimo Branca, Enri Canaj, Elena Chernyshova, Laura Morton, Pablo Piovano, Christian Wernerr and Jonas Wresch.
