UND ALLES IST WEG

January 15, 2015

From January 16 to 27, 2015, the Friedrichshain Photo Gallery in Berlin is presenting a photographic installation by Eric Pawlitzky.
Titled Und alles ist weg - Miejsca, których nie ma [Polish for places that no longer exist] Eric Pawlitzky is presenting First World War sites in Poland, in 30 large-format pigment prints and 20 cyanotype prints. Thanks to historic source material, Pawlitzky researched the events and found landmarks where soldiers fought and suffered 100 years ago.

Using modern technology, Pawlitzky photographed in colour. In addition, he photographed some of the motifs with a camera from 1985, using old photographic technology to produce cyanotype prints. He wanted to reconstruct a contemporary amateur's view of the places where it all happened.

A bi-lingual catalogue has been produced for the exhibition.

Vernissage on Thursday, January 15 at 19:00.
