Gianni Berengo Gardin (1930–2025) ranks among Italy’s most important photographers. As a recipient of the Leica Oskar Barnack Award and member of the Leica Hall of Fame, he had close ties with the Leica brand. Few photographers of his generation embody the title of “Leica Classic” more perfectly. We present a selection of his vast, multi-award-winning œuvre.
