When the photographer got wind of New York’s illegal boxing clubs in 2010, he took his M6 and set off to explore the megacity’s underground scene, looking for the epi-centre of an archaic-like subculture. He found a world where instincts are triggered by a melange of sweat, hip-hop tunes and vibrations.
