Meeting Point for Photography

January 24, 2024

The 8th edition of the PhotoBrussels Festival takes place from 25 January to 25 February 2024.
Since its inception in 2016, PhotoBrussels has transformed Belgium’s capital city into a vibrant hub of contemporary photography for a whole month each year – firmly establishing Brussel’s role as an important player on the international photography scene. The event forms part of the European Month of Photography (EMOP), a network of photo festivals taking place in various European cities such as Berlin, Lisbon, Luxemburg, Paris and Vienna.

The upcoming PhotoBrussels Festival, which runs from 25 January to 25 February 2024, will once again serve as a meeting point for professional and amateur photographers, enthusiasts and collectors from around the world. Numerous exhibitions will be displayed in different venues across the city – from galleries and museums, to studios, embassies, and even the iconic Atomium. By not being limited to just one exhibition space, the festival allows visitors to discover different facets of Brussels whilst exploring a broad spectrum of photographic approaches.

The artists represented at this year’s festival include Michael Ackermann, Jean Depara, Delali Ayivi, Olivia Droeshaut, France Dubois, and Derrick O. Boateng, to name just a few.
