Born in Philadelphia as the child of Russian-Jewish immigrants, Eve Arnold discovered her love for photography in the 1940s. For more than four decades, she created powerful reportages, portrayed iconic cultural and political figures, and addressed the sociopolitical themes of her time.
Comprising more than 160 works, the exhibition at the Fotografie-Forum in Monschau offers a comprehensive survey of the exceptional photographer’s oeuvre, highlighting both its thematic diversity and emotional depth. In addition to some of her most iconic images, the presentation also includes surprising exhibits that have never before been presented in Germany.
