The leap from photography to film.
Multimedia Reportage with Uwe H. Martin – 3rd Workshop

Internet, tablets and smartphones offer numerous new possibilities for telling and publishing visual stories through a variety of media. In this intensive, practical workshop, participants, together with Uwe H. Martin, develop their own multimedia stories.

Each of the three workshops is a stand alone, but they also build on each other. By combining the workshops, it will be possible to learn about the basics of film, create a concept, film it between workshops, edit the film and, ultimately, turn it into a multi-media story for different media.

    Workshop content:
    - Analysis of different forms of multimedia storytelling
    - What works online, what works on a tablet and what works on a smartphone?
    - Which types of media play what role and how do they interact with each other?
    - Linear, non-linear, serial and fragmented stories
    - Concept, storyboarding, development of a prototype

    You’ll need for the workshop:
Smartphone, tablet, your own laptop (preferably a MacBook).
