The exhibition ‘Striking Moments in Photojournalism 1932–1989’ is on view at the Photobastei in Zurich, Switzerland, from November 28, 2019 to March 8, 2020.

Photobastei Zurich presents a showcase of works by some of the great masters of twentieth-century photojournalism. Titled ‘Striking Moments in Photojournalism 1932–1989’, the exhibition includes images by Werner Bischof, René Burri, Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Bruce Davidson, Elliott Erwitt, Josef Koudelka, Robert Lebeck, Inge Morath, Gilles Peress and David Seymour and Jeff Widener, to name but a few. The represented photographers – all of whom are (or were), members of the renowned Magnum agency – profoundly shaped the nature of photojournalism in the harrowing aftermath of World War II.

With a selection of 120 impactful photographs spanning almost six decades from 1932 to 1989, the showcase brings to life a truly fascinating epoch of photojournalism. The exhibits were chosen from a private collection, and will be on display from November 28, 2019 to March 8, 2020.
