The exhibition encompasses 143 works by 54 photographers from 33 nations – representing a cross section of press photography throughout the past year. As a touring exhibition, the images will be displayed worldwide.
From a total of over 100,000 entries, Swedish photographer Paul Hansen won the World Press Photo of the Year 2012 Award for his image of a funeral procession in Gaza city, for two children killed in an Israeli air raid.
