WEITSPRUNG

Hamburg's agencies are calling on start-up photographers for another "WEITSPRUNG" competition
The second WEITSPRUNG competition for up-and-coming photographers takes place on 4 April 2014. Successful entrants will be able to present their work to twelve Art Buyers of four Hamburg based agencies (Jung von Matt, Kolle Rebbe, Scholz & Friends and thjnk) in a portfolio viewing, receiving invaluable feedback and advice on starting out in the field of professional photography.

The event is designed to provide photographers with a candid, honest appraisal of their work, though with a bit of luck it may also open up other opportunities. "For some it may lead to actual job offers, others will benefit from an in-depth critique of their work, others still might perhaps be introduced to an agency", explains Kerstin Mende, Head of Art Buying for Scholz & Friends.

The competition is open to photographers under the age of 35 (the upper age limit having been raised this year), regardless of whether they have finalised their training, are currently studying or have completed an assistantship. Submissions close on 31 January 2014. For further information visit Weitsprung
