The exhibition "Max Lohr – A Pioneer of Photographic Art" opens in Weilheim (D) on 30 August
The exhibition Max LohrA Pioneer of Photographic Art. Early Photographs 1926–1931 opens at the City Museum of Weilheim (Upper Bavaria) on 30 August, continuing until 5 October.

Max Lohr (1909–1992) was one of the early pioneers of photographic art. For a long time, his purist yet experimental works were lost to obscurity – today however, they are sought-after rarities at auction markets.

The engineer and photographer lived in Weilheim (Bavaria) from 1937 until his death in 1992. In the years from 1928 to 1931, he created a large number or remarkable photographs, which are now presented in an exhibition for the first time.
