As part of the city's 'Images' photography festival, works by Hans Eijkelboom will be displayed at the Swiss Camera Museum in Vevey from 13 September 2014 to 1 March 2015
In conjunction with the city's Images festival (13 September to 5 October 2014), the Swiss Camera Museum in Vevey will be showing photographs by Dutch artist Hans Eijkelboom. Titled Portraits and Cameras, the exhibition will be open from 13 September 2014 to 1 March 2015.

The work of conceptual artist and photographer Hans Eijkelboom has been widely published and exhibited around the world. His long-term projects predominantly explore our increasing loss of individual identity in favour of being absorbed into a globalised, consumer-orientated society.

Like an anthropological study, Eijkelboom's photographic series tend to be created in specific locations over long periods of time.

The same systematic approach has been applied to his project Portraits and Cameras: 60 images used in camera adverts from the years of 1949 to 2009 are presented alongside photographs of the artist from his birth in 1949 to the age of sixty.
