In the Van Ham auction house in Köln, high-end photographic art is to go under the hammer on June 20th as part of their spring auction:
Albert Renger-Patzsch has been an ‘in-house artist’ for Van Ham for many years. Once more, high quality vintage prints from the 1920s and 1930s will be on offer. The auction will also offer several works by August Sander, amongst them ‘Großkaufmann mit seiner Gattin’ (‘Merchant with his Wife’), estimated value 6.000 – 10.000 Euros. Also represented in the catalogue is Horst P. Horst, one of the most significant fashion photographers of the twentieth century, with ‘Mainbocher Corset’ (estimated at 10.000-12.000 Euros).
Contemporary art is repesented as well, for instance with Hiroshi Sugimoto’s ‘Bay Drive In, San Diego’ (estimated at 25.000-30.000 Euros), or Andreas Gursky’s ‘Theben, West’ (estimated at 6.000 Euros).
Previews from 15th to 18th June. For further information visit www.van-ham.com
