The Abisag Tüllmann Foundation is launching its second competition for professional photo journalism. The registration deadline in July 31. The Abisag Tüllmann Prize honours and keeps alive the memory of the great German photographer (1935–1996) who worked for Spiegel and Die Zeit, among other papers. She made Frankfurt am Main one of the main motifs of her life's work; as of 1964 she worked as a theatre photographer.
Documentary and artistic
All photographers connected to Germany, either through birth, residency or education, are allowed to participate in the competition. They are expected to submit works that have artistic value as well as documentary significance. The photographs should have been taken within the last five years. The prize money amounts to a total of 10,000 euros. The jury will decide on the allocation of the Abisag Tüllmann Prize in December 2013. The award-winning photos will be on display at the Heussenstamm Gallery in Frankfurt am Main as of February 2014.
