The Berlin-based artist Tobias Zielony, born in Wuppertal in 1973, is one of the most talked-about photographers of his generation in Germany. For over ten years, Zielony has been portraying the young people he meets on the edges of society and cities in western countries.
The Berlinische Galerie is presenting a comprehensive solo exhibition of Zielony's latest project "Jenny Jenny" (2011-2013), which also includes two photographic animation films. The project deals with young women, some of whom earn their money in the sex trade. In addition, the 18-piece series "Trona", which the Landesmuseum for Modern Art was able to purchase for its photographic collection, will also be on display.
