Photobook Open Call: Stories of the Global Norm and Lives of the Not Rich. Closing date: April 1, 2013
Entries from around the world have been pouring in since the open call for photographs was launched in January. The closing date for submissions is April 1, 2013, with judging taking place at the end of April. Successful entrants, as well as being included in The Other Hundred book, will receive a US$ 300 prize.
Telling the stories of those who will never make the world’s rich lists or celebrity columns is the goal of The Other Hundred – a collection of 100 photographs and stories from around the world that aims to capture the struggles and celebrations of ordinary people. A global open call is now under way, and the final 100 selected entries will be compiled into a large-format hardcover book published to coincide with World Poverty Day in October this year.
Already participating are some of the world’s leading photographers, including Benjamin Lowy, Khaled Hasan, Paolo Woods and Andrea Diefenbach.
