Using image processing techniques, Hölscher has returned historic petrol stations to their original, basic construction, and has removed them from any contextual setting. The aim is to bring the architect's original vision – that is virtually unrecognisable because of conversions over the years – back to the forefront.
Born in 1981, Tim Hölscher studied photography from 2004 to 2010 at FH Bielefeld. His current emphasis lies on processing experimental, photographic concepts, and researching image techniques that are outside the box of conventional photography.
