In his new book “The Beauty of Serious Work”, Andreas Meichsner presents the beauty of working situations that he discovered at the TÜV Rhineland.
Rather than a reportage about day-to-day company business, the photographer captured individual portraits of people involved in diverse working and testing situations at the Technical Inspection Agency.
Just like in his previous book “Alles in Ordnung”, Meichsner once again captures special moments of everyday life. While the first book dealt with package-deal holiday makers who become adventurers in the wake of their hotel animators, this second one focuses on institutions and people who seem to defy the wildest of absurdities with great diligence, in order to ensure that we, the consumers, can be safe and carefree.
The exhibition associated to the book will take place from January 18 to March 1, 2014, at the Galerie bildkutur in Stuttgart.
