Hannah Collins to receive the 2015 international Spectrum Photo Prize
The international Spectrum Photo Prize will be awarded to the London-based photographer, Hannah Collins. As an artist, photographer and film maker, she will be honoured for her work dealing with collective experiences of memory, history and daily life. Collins has had variety of international exhibitions and is represented in numerous collections. She will receive the award in the spring of 2015, within the framework of the opening of a solo exhibition.

The meaning of photography in art
With this prize, the Stiftung Niedersachsen has been recognising the significance of photography as a contemporary visual art form since 1994. At the same time it honours the exhibiting tradition of the Spectrum Photo Gallery (1972-1992) at the Sprengel Museum in Hanover. The museum is one of the few venues of standing in Germany, continuously dedicated, among other things, to a collection of contemporary photography.
