Book Signing

Share:

On Thursday, 4 April, photography historian and biographer Carole Naggar will be signing her latest work at the Umbrage Bookstore in New York. Author of the essay ‘Lives of Chim’, published in ‘We Went Back: Photographs from Europe 1933-1956“ (2013)’, Naggar has now compiled the monograph ‘Chim: Children of War’ (2013), featuring never-published photographs from his empathic, now legendary UNICEF series.

A renowned photography historian, Naggar is the author of numerous publications on the lives and works of famous photographers. The book signing for ‘Chim: Children of War’ will be held at the new premises of Umbrage Books in New York.

About the photographer
David Seymour, better known under the pseudonym of Chim, was born in Warsaw in 1911. A founding member of the famed Magnum agency, Chim lost his life during the Suez war in 1956, when Egyptian soldiers opened fire as he crossed the front line.
