The deadline for registering for the “The world around us: Istanbul” workshop with Sebastian Liste from December 6 to 15, is November 22, 2013.

From December 6 to 15, the focus is on portfolio reviews, project discussions and photographs taken in the Turkish metropolis. Participants will be shown a new perspective to their work, and also expand their view of the city and all its possibilities. Room is available for 12 attendees, and the fee for participation is 1200 euros. Turkish photographers can apply for a grant.

About the photographer
Born in Spain, Liste studied photo journalism in Barcelona. He has had many exhibitions and received awards for his long-term project “Urban Quilombo”, about life and poverty in an occupied chocolate factory in Brazil: the Getty Editorial Grant and Remi Ochlik Young Reporter Award 2012, finalist for the Eugene Smith Memorial Fund 2013. The photographer has also been working with a Leica M9 borrowed from the LFI loan pool.
