The Swiss Foundation for Photography presents a diverse selection of photographs on contemporary Switzerland. Open from 8 to 25 August 2013.
The Swiss Foundation for photography presents "Adieu la Suisse!" – a varied selection of works by contemporary Swiss photographers, aiming to collate a new and up-to-date perspective of today's Switzerland. With an unbiased and curious look at the country – and a particular eye for the apparently incidental – the photographers' subjective concepts and individual strategies take the images beyond mere documentary. The result is not so much a visual accusation, but an understated and profound questioning of the reality they encountered.
With photographs by Jean-Luc Cramatte, Nicolas Faure, Yann Gross, Andri Pol, Christian Schwager, Jules Spinatsch, and Martin Stollenwerk, as well as a video installation by Erich Busslinger. The exhibition also includes historical photographs from the Swiss Foundation for Photography collection.
The vernissage takes place on 7 June 2013 at 6 p.m.
