Birte Kaufmann: The Travellers
The Wüstenrot Foundation's 10,000 euros in sponsorship awards have been granted for the tenth time - the award ceremony and celebration will be held on November 6.
The jury selected the four winners from among the 131 projects submitted: Sara-Lena Maierhof's "Dear Clark,..." presents an ironic image of a con man. Arne Schmitt went on a photographic exploration of contemporary neoliberalism in architecture. Kalouna Toulakoun created a photographic portrait of the city of Budapest. Finally, award winner Birte Kaufmann submitted her "The Travellers" series, where she documents the largest minority group in Ireland. The prize money, in addition to an M9 from the LFI loan pool, will allow Ms Kaufmann to continue working on this project.
