Echoes Shades

Polish photographer Piotr Zbierski, winner of the LOBA Newcomer Award 2012, seeks support for the printing of his book Echoes Shades.
The Polish photographer Piotr Zbierski is raising funds for printing a book of his new photographic project. Echoes Shades series is a story about people living close to nature, about communities and tribes cultivating ancient rituals honouring their ancestors, about alternative, natural medicine in Poland and Siberia.

The narrative of the book leads us through the spiritual universe of the cultures chosen by the author. As in previous cycles, Zbierski genuinely approached the people he met, personally experienced their everyday lives, emotions and rituals. He created an essay surpassed those cultures and became a universal story about a man who is derived from nature, about his passions, desires, ways of communicating and dealing with strong emotions.

The Echoes Shades book will have 240 pages in 16.5x22 cm format. It will be printed on high quality Garda Pat Kiara 150gsm paper. The cover will be made of natural linen with a floral scent. Two language editions will be created: English/Polish and French/English.

Piotr Zbierski (b. 1987) studied photography at National Film School in Łódź, Poland, where he continues earning a doctoral degree now. He presented his works in many countries like France, Poland, Germany, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia. In 2012 he won the Leica Oscar Barnack Newcomer Award for his series Pass by me. His works is in collection of Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts and Musée de l’Élysée.
