Photon Open Call

April 19, 2020

The Photon Gallery in Ljubljana, Slovenia, invites photographers to submit their perspectives on the topic of Industrial Heritage. The entry deadline is on April 30, 2020.
The Photon Gallery is a Ljubljana-based centre for contemporary photography, and organiser of the biennial Photonic Moments festival. Even though this year’s festival edition (originally set to open in June 2020) will most likely be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the gallery still decided to hold an Open Call: participants are invited to explore Europe’s industrial heritage through the medium of photography and related forms of visual art. The aim is to investigate Europe’s industrialisation, its effects on our climate and environment, and the role of photography within this context.

The contest is open to photographers up to the age of 35. Submissions close on April 30, 2020. The five finalists will be notified by May 30, 2020.
