The fourth edition of Festival du Regard is set to take place in the Parisian suburb of Cergy-Pontoise from 24 May to 14 July 2019. This year’s event revolves around the topic of ‘Habiter / Inhabit’. Nine of the festival’s exhibitions will be displayed on the ground floor of the magnificent EDF tower, with a further eight showcases presented in public outdoor spaces.

A diverse selection of photographers demonstrate their views on the theme of living spaces in the 21st century. The showcases include works by Michael Wolf, Arthur Crestani, Anne Rearick, Franck Kunert, Robert Doisneau, Cyrus Cornut, Sabine Weiss and Gidéon Mendel, to name but a few.

Peter Granser, winner of the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2004, is represented with two series: ‘Sun City’ portrays the lives of senior citizens in Florida’s Sun City retirement community – the largest of its kind in the US; for his project ‘El Alto’, Granser photographed buildings created by Bolivian architect Freddy Mamani Silvestre, who drew inspiration from the craft traditions of his own indigenous Aymaran culture and the strong masonry of pre-Inca architecture.
