Founder of Subjective Photography
The grant was established in 1979 in honour of German photographer and teacher Dr. Otto Steinert (1915–1978), founder of the Subjective Photography movement. As a curator as well as lecturer at the Folkwang School in Essen, Steinert helped shape an entire generation of curators and photographers.
