This year, the international Nordic Light Photography Festival will be held from May 6 to 10. For one week, the town of Kristiansund in Norway is celebrating photography as an art form.
The organisers' main concern is to turn the festival into an important European meeting point for photographers, those interested in photography, and curators, as well as amateurs, students and school goers. It is an open concept, focussing on an easy access to the medium.
In addition to exhibitions, workshops and portfolio viewings, there will be literary and musical events, as well as special cinema formats – a very inspiring mixture. Leica Camera AG is among the main sponsors of this multi-faceted and intriguing festival.
