n-ost Reportage Prize
True to life and free of cliches: in 2014, the Network for Eastern European Reportage will honour journalists whose work conveys extraordinary stories from Eastern Europe. The competition is open to all editors, freelance journalists, photographers, interns, journalists-in-training or photography students. The selection will be made based on previously published versions of each entry. Submissions close on 31 January 2014.
Eastern Europe in words, sounds and pictures
The n-ost Reportage Prize is divided into three categories – Writing, Radio, and Photo/Audio Slide Show, with each category winner receiving a 2,000 euro award. The prize aims to encourage high-quality photojournalism and writing, as well as promoting an ongoing debate as to what characterises "Eastern Europe", and how it is presented in the media.
