The exhibition “Vis-à-vis” will open on October 16, 2019 at 6 pm in Munich. The curator team presents a selection of photographic positions which sheds light on economic, social and socio-political power structures. The works of the 15 invited photographers, like Mathieu Asselin, Rebecca Sampson and Daniel Chatard, research intrigues of major corporations and follow traces which depict postcolonial, imperialistic and capitalistic structures. The contemporary documentary photography, following its tradition, expresses the diversity in thought and actions as well as individual strategies of empowerment in Europe and far beyond.
After the festival the exhibition will remain open to the public until 24 November 2019.
