FotoMéxico celebrates women

FotoMéxico is a platform for the research, promotion and production of national and international photography in Mexico. Held every two years, it takes place in the most important exhibition spaces of the country.

FotoMéxico features a program of activities that includes exhibitions, discussion panels, workshops and conferences. Its third edition seeks to give visibility to photographic production made by women, as well as promotion of photography undertaken by women critics, gallery owners, collectors, managers, curators and activists, among many others.

It also seeks to create a space for dialogue for different voices and point of views interested in addressing issues such as sexuality, corporality, identity and ways of life in relation to the feminine.

The festival presents more than 140 exhibitions with the participation of over 200 creators from 18 different states of Mexico. For details please see their website.
