Share:

From September 13, 2019, to February 2, 2020, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne presents the showcase ‘Civilization: The Way We Live Now’. The international group exhibition features more than 200 original works by over 100 contemporary photographers from Africa, America, Asia, Australia and Europe – including Lauren Greenfield, Dona Schwartz, Pieter Hugo, Pablo Lopez Luz and Candida Höfer.

Comprising a range of visual approaches, the exhibition explores the complex theme of urban life in the 21st century and the shared experience of living in a globalised world. ‘Civilization: The Way We Live Now’ is presented in collaboration with the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography, Minneapolis/New York/Paris/Lausanne and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea.
