Birte Kaufmann: The Travellers
Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg Photo Festival: On October 12, 2013, the exhibition “Die Favoriten” will open at the Einraumhaus in Mannheim. The favourite pieces from this year's reviews portfolio will be on display there until November 10.
Among the exhibits are Stephanie Steinkopf's work “Manhattan – Straße der Jugend” (Manhattan – street of youth), Kike Aspano's “Paris” series, and images from Birte Kaufmann's “The Travellers” project. The latter project depicting Irish travellers – Ireland's largest minority group – was taken with a Leica M9 loaned to the photographer by the LFI camera pool.
