Objects of beauty

The work of photography artist Jessica Backhaus deals with aspects of transience and the passage of time. With her own particular visual language, she transforms seemingly ordinary objects into artistically composed photographs, drawing our attention to things we usually overlook. Playing with light and colour is one of her characteristic traits, creating still lifes which are often reminiscent of paintings.

The series “Once, Still and Forever” by artist Jessica Backhaus has now been published as a photo book of the same title. The corresponding exhibition is open at the Project Space Knut Osper in Köln until 10th November 2012.
