Konstantin Mihailov Mihov lives and works in Berlin, his Leica M9 being his constant companion. Mihov acquired the camera at an auction, only to find out afterwards that its previous owner had been street photographer Guido Steenkamp.
For the past two years, Mihov has been working on a project titled Couples. He finds them a most engaging photographic subject, seeing them as two people living in their own world. Talking about his Leica, Mihov says, "I don't carry it with me to capture a moment or record a memory, but rather to help me feel and connect. It is my ID and my disguise – my mask as well as my most revealing garment."
