Minox introduces a miniature replica of a 50s-style rangefinder camera

Minox, the Wetzlar-based camera vendor once famous for its spy cameras, still has a penchant for miniaturised cameras. The new DCC 14.0 resembles a rangefinder camera from the fifties like the Leica M3, but at its heart is a 14 MP CMOS sensor. The camera sports a 5 element 1:2.4/7.35 mm lens that can be extended by optional wide-angle and tele converters. An external optical viewfinder is available as well. Powered by a lithium-ion battery the new Minox measures 82 x 67 x 46 mm; its weight is 113.5 g. At 199 Euro, both a black and a silver version are available.
