Still lifes, street scenes, gestures, the female body, refined extracts that become geometrical, abstract studies – there are few who master the art of the suggestive understatement like Ralph Gibson. Born in 1939, the legendary photographer discovered the Leica M Monochrom in 2013 and took it with him on a trip around the world. The outcome is the ‘Mono’ series, available in the LFI 2/2014.
Duncan Meeder, owner of the Leica Store Lisse in Amsterdam, has the honour of having initiated this project – it was he who convinced Gibson, who was not involved in digital photography, to give the M Monochrom a try.
In collaboration with Duncan Meeder, LFI is now presenting Ralph Gibson’s ‘Mono’ in an exquisite, limited edition.
10 Fine-Art digital prints, hand signed, 33 x 43.5 cm, with passe-partout, delivered in a black case. Edition: 25 sets. EUR 7500.00
