Dot your T: Leica introduce their extensive range of accessories for the new T
Two major hallmarks of the Leica T are its compact design and large touchscreen, taking up almost the entire rear of the camera. As a result, fitting an integrated ocular viewfinder was not an option. Instead, Leica are offering the new Visoflex external viewfinder as an optional accessory. It offers everything you would wish for in an electronic viewfinder, including swivel function and an extremely high resolution of 2.4 megapixels for a very natural image reproduction. The Visoflex also contains the GPS receiver.

Leica are planning to expand the new system's lens selection in time for this year's Photokina, by adding a 55–135 mm and a 11–23 mm zoom (corresponding to a classic 80–200 mm lens and a 17–35 mm wide-angle respectively). In the meantime, a new adapter ring allows T owners instant access to the entire range of M lenses. These are of course focused manually – also, the photographer has to take into account the crop factor of 1.5 when choosing a lens.

The range of T accessories also includes a selection of carrier straps, hand straps and protective covers which not only fulfil their purpose, but also complement the modern design of the new Leica T.

Leica T is available May 26th from authorized Leica dealers.
