"On the Street 1980-1990" by Amy Arbus will be showing at the Leica Gallery New York from 28 February to 19 April 2014
The exhibition On the Street 1980-1990 by Amy Arbus will be showing at the Leica Gallery New York from 28 February to 19 April 2014.

For over ten years, New York photographer Amy Arbus captured her neighbourhood for the Village Voice style feature, portraying a colourful array of trendsetters such as Madonna, the Clash, actors and costume designers wearing anything from aviator shades to underwear. Her images reflect a complex piece of New York history, when creativity and individualism fought for breathing space in the wealthy conservatism of the 1980s.

In addition, a simultaneous exhibition of photographs by Curtice Taylor will be displayed in the gallery's Oskar Barnack Room, titled Transforming Nature: Gardens and Landscapes 1985-2011.
