Leica Camera AG present a further model in their rangefinder camera series. Based on the otherwise identical Leica M, the Leica M-P offers all of the technological advantages of the Leica M system along with several additional features.
The most significant alteration is the M-P's buffer memory capacity, which has been increased to 2 GB – twice the size of that of the Leica M.
The protective glass of the camera's LCD monitor has also been optimised for professional use. Consisting of highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal – one of the hardest materials in the world – the M-P's LCD cover is virtually unbreakable, offering outstanding long-term durability.
Further new details include a frame selection lever, which enables the camera to simulate six different focal lengths.
Available in a black lacquered or silver chrome finish, the Leica M-P is on sale now for 6700 euros (RRP in Germany).
