Within the context of a programme on 'Classics of Russian Photography' and 'The History of Russia in Photographs', a retrospective by Eleazar Langman will be showing at the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow.
The exhibition comprises of photographs from the 1930s, in which the artist captured the simplicity of everyday life in the Soviet Union – from collective farms to schools and restaurants.
The Soviet press photographer Eleazar Langman (1895-1940) described himself as a student of the work of Alexander Rodtschenko and Boris Ignatowitsch. He was a member of the artist groups 'October' and 'Brigade Ignatowitsch', and worked for the newspaper 'Vechernyaya Moskva'.
