"Uprooted" is the Norwegian photographer's first exhibition in Poland, showing at the Mocak Gallery in Krakow from 14 February
The Mocak Gallery in Krakow presents Rune Eraker's exhibition Uprooted, the Norwegian photographer's first exhibition in Poland. The selection contains 73 of the artist's most striking images covering the time period since 1988.

For his work, Eraker visited 22 countries to document the lives of everyday people in times of hunger, war or political repression. His sensitive and often deeply emotional images explore the multitude of reasons forcing people to abandon their roots and seek safety in foreign lands.

Documenting the everyday existence of the displaced against the backdrop of tragedy and unrest, Uprooted is the Mocak Gallery's first exhibition entirely dedicated to a social issue. The exhibition is open from 14 February to 27 April 2014.
