Opening April 11, 2014, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne is putting on a large presentation of works by Pierre Huyghe. It is the first large exhibition of his retrospective work in a German-speaking country, and includes over 50 pieces in a variety of media – sketches, sculptures, installations, photographs, films and performances, covering the timespan from 1993 till today.
A magical journey of discovery
An ice-skater drawing abstract figures on a black ice rink, a white dog with pink-coloured paws moving throughout the exhibition halls, crabs living in a maritime ecosystem within the exhibition: born in Paris is 1962, the French artist, Pierre Huyghe, invites visitors on a magical journey of discovery through the works he has produced over the past 20 years.
