On the banks of the Yangtze

Share:

Starting November 1, 2012, the Edwynn Houk Gallery in Zürich is presenting "Yangtze - The Long River" – an exhibition of pictures by Nadav Kander. The London-based photographer spent over three years on the world's third largest river, taking pictures of everyday life. He began to see the river as a symbol of conflict – for a nation torn between the past and a future of progress and growth.

The series also appears in a picture book with the same title, published by Hatje Cantz Verlag.  Kander was born in Israel, grew up in South Africa, and has lived and worked in London for the past 30 years.
