Distinguished Photography: ICP Infinity Awards

Photographers Dawoud Bey, Rosalind Fox Solomon, Shahidul Alam and Jess T. Dugan, as well as the novelist Zadie Smith, have been announced as the recipients of this year’s Infinity Awards, organised by the International Center of Photography (ICP) New York.
US-American photographer Dawoud Bey was chosen as the winner in the category ‘Art’, while Jess T. Dugan (born 1986) will be honoured as this year’s Emerging Photographer. British author Zadie Smith will be recognised in the ‘Critical Writing and Research’ category for her essay “Deana Lawson’s Kingdom of Restored Glory”, published in the newspaper ‘The New Yorker’. The Bangladeshi photographer Shahidul Alam stands to receive the award in the category ‘Special Presentation’, while the American photographer Rosalind Fox Solomon will be honoured for her life’s work.
The awards ceremony will be held on 2 April 2019 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.
