AHK Asset Management GmbH, in Salzburg, owned 100 percent by Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, who through ACM Project Development is majority share holder of Leica Camera AG, has a 25.1 percent share in the I-shot-it internet platform. The company was founded in the USA in 2011 by Hartmut Hennige and collaborates, among others, with Leica Camera AG. It gives photo enthusiasts the opportunity to participate for a minimal fee in competitions judged by independent juries of internationally renowned photographers. In the case of free competitions, members of the I-shot-it community decide themselves via internet voting.
Most hits to the I-shot-it website come from the United States. The platform's increasing popularity is revealed not only by the internet click rates (currently over 132,000 visits), but also by user numbers (currently 50,000 registered users), and over 185,000 fans of the I-shot-it Facebook page.
