100 Cameras for 100 Children

September 2, 2014

The exhibition 'The Children of Tacloban – 100 Cameras for 100 Children' in Hamburg's Deichtorhallen Square has been extended.
Since 8 July 2014, photographs have been displayed for the first time in Hamburg's Deichtorhallen Square. The images shown in the open-air exhibition were created by children and teenagers of Tacloban in the Philippines, who recorded their impressions of life in the aftermath of the devastating typhoon "Haiyan".

Organised by the German broadcasting company NDR in collaboration with photo service company CEWE, the exhibition is based on a long-term project created by television correspondent Philipp Abresch – who has regularly given out single-use cameras in crisis zones for the past 15 years. The exhibition has now been extended to 5 October 2014.
