The Michael Hoppen Gallery in London will be showing Michael Eastman’s exhibition ‘Havana’, from 12 February to 29 March 2013. The series captures the colourful and crumbling interiors and exteriors of Cuba’s capital. In some of his images, buildings appear as flat planes of colour, akin to a painting; in others, Eastman uses expansive perspectives to create an inviting depth in the rooms he depicts.
Michael Eastman is widely recognised for his large-scale photographs of cities across the world, including Rome, Paris and New Orleans.
