For his long-term project "Mikhailova Called" the photographer Beat Schweizer portrayed places in Russia close to the polar regions. Now the Freelens Galerie presents his first major solo exhibition in Germany from 30 January to 19 March 2020.

With a warm-hearted, poetic view, Schweizer shows the lives of people for whom the adverse circumstances are normal everyday life. His project presents a living space in its hardness and beauty at the same time, with situations that offer the viewer sensitive insights into human coexistence under extreme conditions.

His work has been awarded numerous prizes and shown in exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, 30 January 2020 at 7 pm.
